This allows you to read .PDB files (designed for Palm OS iSilo reader) in Windows version of iSilo reader.
iSilo? is a highly versatile document reader available for Palm OS?, Pocket PC, and Windows? CE Handheld PC handhelds, as well as for Windows? computers. You can find thousands of ready-made documents downloadable immediately for reading with iSilo? or you can create your own documents from HTML content using iSiloX. Some of the major features that will win you over to iSilo? include:
High text compression in iSilo? format documents result in a 50% to 60% decrease in size, which is about 20% better than the Palm Doc format, allowing you to store more and larger documents on your handheld.
Hyperlinks make it much easier to navigate through a document.
Images add visual richness to documents, especially photo-quality color pictures.
Tables allow the display of tabular data.
Formatted text gives style to text for controlled emphasis.
VFS support on Palm OS? allows you to store and access documents on high-capacity removeable storage.
Version 4.3 adds the following new features:
All platforms:
Added support for interpreting the external document path as a space delimited list of possibilities when the first non-space character is a double-quote, where each possibility is enclosed within double-quotes.
Document registration codes can now have a prefix of up to nine characters that can be entered by the user but will be ignored by the validation process. This allows document publishers to add their own custom prefix to document registration codes.
Version 4.3 addresses the following issues:
iSilo? for Pocket PC:
When in full screen mode with links active, using the action button to attempt to follow the current active link results in exiting of full screen mode.
On devices with VGA resolution screens, following a link to an external document results in an incorrect display of the toolbar, whereby the right part of the toolbar shifts to the left.
When selecting a different font to use for the monospace family, a monospace font is still used.
iSilo? for Windows? CE Handheld PC:
When selecting a different font to use for the monospace family, a monospace font is still used.
iSilo? for Windows?:
In the case where a user is not logged onto the system, the user ID is incorrectly computed.
iSilo? for Windows Mobile? Smartphone:
Viewing a document that uses more than eight mixes of font styles and sizes may result in sudden exiting of the application.
